FAQ

Selling & consigning, answered

Straight answers about selling a single item, a collection or an entire estate to us. We buy outright and pay at pickup, or consign your items to a public online auction. Don't see your question? Call or text (949) 505-5527.

What we buy

What kinds of items do you buy?

We buy high-value items with real resale demand: fine art, antiques, jewelry and watches, gold and sterling silver, designer and mid-century furniture, bronze sculpture, Native American jewelry, pottery, rugs and blankets, advertising signs, antique toys, and collections. Not sure about yours? Send photos and we will give you an honest answer.

Is there a minimum value?

Generally, yes. We look for individual items with a resale value of roughly $500 or more, or collections and estates totaling $2,000 or more. Not sure what you have? Send photos anyway — we will give you an honest answer either way.

What do you NOT buy?

We do not buy ordinary used household goods. We only buy or consign items that are collectible, name-brand, or carry real resale value and market demand. In a complete clearout, everyday contents are still handled as part of the service: usable items are donated and the rest is disposed of.

Do you buy everything in the house?

No — and it is the most common misunderstanding about what we do. We buy or consign items with enough resale value. In a complete clearout, the remaining contents are donated or disposed of as part of the service, so you still end up with an emptied property.

Do you buy entire estates or storage units?

Yes. We buy whole estates and entire storage units in a single transaction, as well as individual high-value pieces. For a storage unit, you meet us at the facility to let us through the gate and open the unit. Units in lien status must sell through the facility’s own auction; we cannot buy those directly.

Selling and getting paid

Should I sell outright or consign to auction?

It depends on your items and your timeline. Selling outright means you are paid when we pick the items up — fast and certain. Consigning means your items sell at a public online auction, typically in 30–60 days, which can bring a stronger price for the right pieces. We recommend a route after evaluating your items.

What happens if my consigned items don’t sell?

Unsold consignments are rare, because we only accept items we are confident will sell at auction. We assess market demand before taking anything in, explain the commission and expected timeline upfront, and pay you about 10 days after the sale.

What is your commission?

It depends on the total value of the items we pick up. We tell you the exact rate for your items before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises.

When do I get paid?

For outright purchases, you are paid when we pick up the items. For consignments, you are paid about 10 days after your items sell at auction, which typically happens 30–60 days after consignment.

How do you determine what my items are worth?

We price items on current market demand and resale value. Our family has bought and sold antiques and fine goods in Southern California since 1989, including running our own auction house and retail store, so we know what things actually sell for — and we make fair, transparent offers.

How do I get started?

Send photos of your items or the estate contents, plus the property location — through the form on this site, by email, or by text to (949) 505-5527. The evaluation is free and there is no obligation. We review every submission personally and respond within 24 hours.

Clearouts and working with us

How does a complete estate clearout work?

One call empties the property. We evaluate the entire contents, buy or consign everything of value, donate usable items, and dispose of what cannot be sold or donated. You end up with an emptied property and one point of contact for the whole process.

What if I just need a property cleared?

Ask about our cleanout-only service. We charge a simple flat rate, offset by the value of any sellable merchandise in the cleanout, and handle removal of ordinary household contents, donation of usable items, and responsible disposal of the rest.

Should I sort or throw things away before you look?

Please don’t. In a complete clearout we evaluate the entire contents, and things people assume are worthless can carry real resale value. Send photos of the property as it is, and we will tell you honestly what has value and what doesn’t.

How fast will I hear back?

Within 24 hours of receiving your photos and the property location — we review every submission personally. If it looks like a fit, we make an initial proposal or schedule a visit, typically within five days and sometimes the same day.

Which areas do you serve?

Five Southern California counties: Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside (including the Coachella Valley) and San Bernardino (including the Inland Empire). We come to you. For larger estates and significant collections outside these counties, reach out — we may still be able to help.

Do you work with attorneys, executors, and real estate professionals?

Yes, regularly. We work with private individuals, fiduciaries, executors, trustees, attorneys, real estate agents, probate contacts, and estate brokers across Southern California — and a complete clearout gives them one point of contact for the whole property.
